Here are some examples of how merchants are benefitting from card payments
AIBMS – Hazel Mountain Chocolate
Kasha and John are the owners of Hazel Mountain Chocolate, a successful bean-to-bar chocolate business that began in the heart of Burren in 2014. Their Burren flagship store is home to a café, shop and factory, but despite them being based in a remote rural location, their business has grown and thrived.
So, what has contributed to their success? In 2018 they decided to go cashless as a business. Why? Because accepting Visa payments in-store makes transactions quick and effortless, which has multiple benefits. Going cashless has allowed their staff to have more time to focus on what’s important; their customers. Since going cashless their average transaction value in store has increased by up to 20%.
Kasha and John are constantly looking for ways to drive innovation within their business. After winning numerous international chocolate awards for their chocolate products, they wanted to grow their business by reaching more customers in new markets, so in 2018, they took the business online. This has enabled them to sell to thousands of customers across Europe and grow their overall sales by up to 70% (since 2018).
